Shamrock Shake Made Healthy


Now that it's March Shamrock Shakes have hit McDonald's. A pretty irresistible and fun looking treat. If you take a look at the nutritional facts it makes you want to go run and hide.

For those of you would want to participate in the fun but don't want to sacrifice all your hard work, I have a recipe for you.

This is a treat you can definitely feel great about!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk of almond or coconut milk beverage

  • 1-2 drops of doTERRA peppermint oil or 1 tsp of peppermint extract

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ avocado, peeled

  • ¼ cup maple syrup or raw honey, or vanilla stevia to taste

  • 1 cup raw spinach, packed

  • 4 cups ice cubes

**Optional: Add 1 scoop of Trim Shake or protein powder of your choice. Omit the sweetener above

Instructions

  1. Combine the milk, mint, vanilla, avocado, sweetener, and spinach in a blender. Blend until very smooth.

  2. Add the ice cubes and blend just until it forms a shake consistency. Add more milk if it’s too thick for your blender.

  3. Pour the milkshake into cups and enjoy!
